About Mace Property Management
Mace was established in 2002 by Alex and Paula Deacon as a fully licensed Pennsylvania real estate brokerage and property management company. Fast forward to today we manage nearly 1000 units and are part owners of Deacon Hoover Real Estate Advisors. Alex provides consulting to our owner/clients. He also helps to consult with new management clients and answers any questions they may have about our company and management techniques. Paula, who is a licensed real estate agent, is the Co-Owner and serves as the company’s office manager.
The main reason Mace Property Management was started is we had experienced what other management companies had to offer and were very let down at the lack of professionalism and service provided. At that time Alex and Paula personally owned over 50 units and decided to start their own company. Since then, Mace has grown at a slow and controlled pace and is dedicated to providing our owners and tenants with the best service possible.
Mace Property Management now has five licensed agents, a full time receptionist, a part time assistant, and a General Contractor with a great core of subcontractors who can handle minor and major repairs as well as rental turnovers and property rehabs. Mace has grown now to managing nearly 1000 units with over 200 owners/clients that we represent. Our primary focus is scattered site housing, multifamily and small commercial properties.
Throughout the years that we have been in business our knowledge of the market and what our clients want has increased dramatically. We specialize in residential properties and small commercial units. Other companies choose to diversify into an area they do not specialize in. We are based in Carnegie, close to Interstate 79 and I-376 (Parkway), which allows us to service a large area of Pittsburgh and surrounding suburbs.
We also offer Real Estate investment consulting services. Alex Deacon since 1993 has been involved with well over 3000 sales transactions as an agent and investor. He can help lead you down the correct path and reduce your learning curve and increase your return on investment.
